Climate Pathway 2050
The LIFE Climate Pathway 2050 project aims to monitor progress and plan climate measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the areas of buildings, transport, industry, agriculture, forestry and waste. The project builds on the development and addition of the existing system for preparing projections and monitoring the implementation of measures.
Climate mirror
The Climate Mirror is a document that presents the main findings of monitoring the implementation of measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
It includes indicators intended for monitoring the effects of the implementation of measures and an overview of the implementation of these measures. The achievement of the goals that Slovenia has set itself in the area of reducing GHG emissions, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources is also shown. An important part of the Climate Mirror is a summary for decision-makers, which summarizes the main conclusions of the monitoring of the implementation of the measures, if necessary together with proposals for better targeting of the measures and the expected effects of these activities. The purpose of the Climate Mirror is precisely support in deciding on the direction of activities, which is necessary to upgrade the implementation of existing measures. By involving stakeholders in the process of preparing the document, the desire is to establish a system in which the implementation of measures with monitoring will be sensibly rounded into a continuous cycle of improvements in planning, implementation, verification and action.
Local climate action traffic light
The local traffic light of climate activities is an online application that shows the implementation of measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in individual municipalities.
The portal shows the activities of municipalities in the field of mitigating climate change with 58 indicators, 47 of which are shown for all municipalities in Slovenia. Since 2017, more than 70 municipalities have actively connected to the traffic lights, for which all basic data, basic indicators for public buildings, energy renovation without incentives and an indicator on the number of charging stations for electric vehicles are also available. The indicator is shown only for municipalities that have actively joined the local traffic light of climate activities.
