NASA's Earth Observing System
The mission of NASA's Earth Observatory is to share with the public images, stories, and discoveries about the environment, Earth systems, and climate that result from NASA's research, including satellite missions, field surveys, and models. The Earth Observatory is part of the office EOS Project Science Office in the centre Goddard Space Flight Center.
NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS) is a coordinated series of satellites for long-term global observations of the land surface, biosphere, atmosphere, and oceans. EOS enables a better understanding of the Earth as an integrated system.
